Smile, computer thieves! You're on camera! Thus, check. A dude who obtained his MacBook stolen discovered which was the thief, he arrested - and posted photos of him in a blog entitled, This Guy is my MacBook everywhere with a new awesome app to your computer called hidden. What is hidden? Let me tell you! It is a device for monitoring for your computer theft - you can practically follow your computer anywhere in the world and enable the camera to take snapshots of the dirty rotten scoundrel. Pretty fantastic, not?
I think actually the fact that there is the hidden could be a deterrent to theft of laptop computer as such. I mean, there is no way for the potential thief whether your computer has the it. Why chance it? It's like a virtual Brinks sign for your notebook - even if you do not have the alarm.
As awesome as it is. Non-voleurs like me and my co-workers are a little panicked out. I mean, we're working very hard here to stirring the, but from time to time, we can be intercepted to do things other than our work. What happens if our installed Hidden patterns on our computers - no step to see if steal us them, to see what we do? That would be the kind of suck.
I slipped a few shots of our editorial, Emily Assistant today to see what it would get caught this. The results are somewhat incriminating. Let's of eye.
Here is Emily to around 10: 30 this morning. As you can see, it does not handle stress very well here. A good employee must always keep their cool, Emily. Perhaps try a few tea Chamomile from the break room.
Look at that. Here is Emily in towards noon, a break of a magazine. Assumes that the only way to decompress after a computer freak out and a Jet - Ski safety lesson is with Martha Stewart. TSK TSK. You must be at least the net surfer.
And here's the photo most incriminating of all: Emily sleep. Job. Guess that all that texts on his BlackBerry really hit its fate. My poor.
See? Hidden is great for certain purposes, but for the love of God and Emily, do not install this in our work computers!
